Hi, my name is Marilyn and I’m an artist based in Colorado Springs. I grew up in the Midwest; after graduation, I moved to the Big Island of Hawaii where sailing was a big passion of mine. I met my husband there and we have two kids together. After 26 years in Hawaii, my family and I moved to Colorado where watercolor painting has become my new passion for the last 20 years.

My artwork encompasses light, color, and energy. What I enjoy most about watercolor is it’s a little undisciplined and variable. When I first started painting, it was all about perfectionism and tight lines. As I progressed through practicing, it became more enjoyable to “let go” and use looser techniques while painting, which is very satisfying. My goal is to pull you into my paintings. Enjoy!
